Born an Air Force brat in San Antonio, Texas, I chased my childhood across oceans and continents, with stories as my constant companions.

Whether I’m weaving true tales from interviews, documents, or data, or letting novels or screenplays barge out of my brain, I feel most alive when I’m building worlds out of words.

And when I’m not telling my own stories, I love helping other people find better ways to tell theirs.
