IN 2023, every local office on voters’ ballots in my community was up for grabs. I was volunteering for the local Democratic Party, and our chair came up with a slogan to help drive our campaign: “Get Vocal, Vote Local.”

I sprang into action, designing both a logo for the effort and mailing and outreach materials. A door knocker I designed doubled as a canvassing tool, including QR codes to help voters easily register to vote or volunteer with the campaign.

For whatever it's worth, Democratic candidates swept Albemarle County’s local elections that fall.
